Summer term 2019- Sand between my toes
Come and See: Reception/ Year 1
Our first topic is Holiday and Holydays. For Christians, Sunday is the special day of the week. It is the day on which Jesus rose from the dead and is considered to be a day of rest. Pentecost is a special celebration of the gift of the Holy Spirit, through whom the risen life of Jesus is given.
Big questions: Holidays and holydays
Do we need holidays and holydays?
Our second topic is Being Sorry. For Christians it is important to make choices in the light of our belief in a loving God. There are times when we need to acknowledge our sorrow for making wrong choices. The Church offers the Sacrament of Reconciliation which celebrates God’s unconditional love for us.
Big questions: Being sorry
Why should we be sorry?
Our third topic is Neighbours. The Church is universal; it is the people that God gathers in the whole world. Each person has God given dignity. Loving our neighbours is an essential part of Christian living.
Big questions: Neighbours
Who is my neighbour?
Here are some photographs for you to enjoy of some our special moments
