Spring term 2020
Our topic this term is 'big wide world’
When we arrived back to school after the Christmas holidays we received a postcard from Barnaby Bear - he was in CHINA!
We quickly found out that there was going to be a special celebration there called Chinese New Year and decided we wanted in on such fun! We retold the story of the Chinese Zodiac, created lanterns to decorate our classroom, made party hats and watched some Chinese New Year parades.
We then went onto make and taste a simple Chinese dish with chopsticks, it was so yummy!
After watching an interesting video about all the wonderful places around the world we decided we wanted to learn about Africa!!
We took a vote on what our favourite African animal was and input the data into a graph using both Hwb and Purple Mash.
We have been using the paint on the iPad to draw an African animal and label it, look how fabulous these drawings are!
